In a creative industry defined by deadlines, Bethea Clayton (The Chief mechanic) provides a large networking service for both artists and clients alike. The company’s main mission is to unite the artists who work within the industry, protect their rights and ensure that the standard of work produced by the artist is up held.

“Glamour Mechanics was launched in January 2001 when I realized there was an urgent need for innovative and creative artist representation. I am totally devoted and committed to the incredible talent in our country and felt that Glamour Mechanics would FULFIL my passion on two levels; representing the creative talent and thus assisting in the growth and recognition of our Industry.”

“Glamour Mechanics represents a number of the top creative artists in South Africa and I intend to continue doing so. I am determined to create a ‘united front of artists’ that stand together and to ensure that the industry is aware that South Africa has truly amazing talent, that it is not necessary to look outside our country. I would like my artists to gain the respect and acknowledgement that they deserve. Overall, I would like to ensure that standards are upheld and that the industry is graded.

I find that there is a huge discrepancy between true, creative ability and acceptable, mediocre ability. In life, you get what you pay for!
