It is said you can tell a lot about a craftsman by the tools he uses. J & D utilizes only state of the art digital cameras and the best lenses available. The capability of these digital tools frees us to be more creative as we capture those unique and memorable moments of your wedding day. In addition to the expected images, we have an eye for the details that truly help to tell your story as it unfolds. We have been known to follow the groom right into his dressing room as he prepares for this special day!

J & D is dedicated to being leaders in our industry. We are one of the first studios in South Africa to produce the innovative Storybook album, a new dimension in wedding albums. No longer are the pages limited to 1 to 4 prints behind a mat. Your images are combined into “magazine style” displays that capture the moments, feelings and nuances of your day in an album that is fresh, modern and uniquely yours. The Storybook album features about 100 images selected by you that are then artistically enhanced and arranged using the very latest techniques. Even the 200 to 300 images on contact cd provided for you to choose from have been retouched with an artist’s eye. All this attention to detail results in imagery that compares to the most fashionable bridal magazines. Your artistically enhanced images can also be compiled onto a premium DVD “movie” with the music of your choice playing in the background. (This DVD may be played on any TV with a DVD player.) This incredible level of expertise doesn’t cost you anything extra – it is just part of the service that J & D delivers to our valued clients.
When you retain J & D Photography as your wedding photographer, we are reserved for you alone for the entire day. You are not limited by a set number of hours – no need to watch the clock. We are there to capture every extraordinary and memorable moment of your wedding day regardless of time…or distance. We do not charge a travel fee, whether the wedding takes place in Gauteng, the Muldersdrift area or within a 100 kilometer radius from Pretoria.

“I offer a photojournalist documentary style approach to my wedding photography, a skill which has been honed by years of experience as a photojournalist.” A Senior photojournalist with one of Africa’s leading publications, Steve has covered events across the continent, from civil wars in the Congo to The dwindling mountain Gorilla population in the virungas of Rwanda. A passionate photographer, Steve has over the past 15 years developed a love for wedding photography which is evident in his wedding gallery. An Award winning photographer in the Fuji Photographic awards as well as receiving a finalist award for Mondi Shanduka Newspaper awards in 2004, Steve brings a wealth of expertise on board.
